I have worked with Donnie going on 5 years, I have become very close with his wife and kids. Donnie was such a good friend to me and my husband and our children, he would always help them do homework when they came here to work with me. He could always just make me laugh even when I was in the worst of moods he would always let me know there are many other things I should be happy about. He was a great father, and he loved his wife dearly! His (little wife) is what he would call her to me. I know that he is watching over us all right now sitting by his God. He is now our guardian Angel, and he will be beside you Paula and his family forever more.

My husband and I both knew Donnie from Austin Bank, I once worked in the building and John is the UPS driver for the bank, we both thought an awful lot of Donnie. He was always quick with a smile or some joke or story. He will be truly missed. Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with his family.

God Bless all of his family,

Susan & John Chaplinski

Mrs. Turner, Gene, and Carrie:

I am deeply saddened to hear of Donnie's passing. I hope you all can find comfort in his legacy of being a fine man, a loving husband and father, and a wonderful friend. My father thought the world of Donnie and had just spoken to him on Wednesday. The news really hit him hard and I know he will miss Donnie terribly, as will everyone who knew him. He was always warm and friendly to me and I will always appreciate that.

Take care and always remember the good man that he was.

While I worked at the Longview Partnership, I had the honor of knowing and working with Donnie on the Boat Show. We shared three days together in January for the past 7-8 years. He was a dedicated and hard-working volunteer. Because of his leadership, the Boat Show has been extremely successful. I will miss Donnie, but I will remember him fondly. He was a fine gentleman.
