Bertha Dora Faz Barrera entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 74. She was born on February 5, 1943 to Carlos Faz, Sr. and Bertha Lozano Faz in Cotulla, Texas. She was an outstanding housewife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and she enjoyed knitting.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hector Barrera; daughter, Virma Barrera; sister, Elsie Faz; brothers, Fred Faz and Carlos Faz, Jr.; nieces, Rosie Faz, Carrinna Madrid and Anntonette Faz and nephew, Johnny Madrid.
She is survived by her five daughters, Alda Barrera, Mari Barrera, Erica Barrera and Deidra (Alex Arriola) Barrera all of Corpus Christi and Chris Rojo of Adrian, Michigan; son, Anthony (Ron) Salas of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Irene (Alberto) Echeverria of San Antonio and Gloria Jean Faz of Adrian, Michigan; brothers, Jose L. Faz and Samuel L. (Maria Arellano) Faz both of Madrid; grandson, Easton Arriola and two sons; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias.
