Theodora (Dora) Marie Apodaca Gallegos, 87, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 10th in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born October 26th, 1927 in Chaperito, New Mexico. Dora and her husband of 66 years Paul raised their family in Boulder, CO. She retired from Ball Aerospace and lived in Las Vegas, NM and Colorado Springs, CO. In addition to her husband, Dora is survived by children: Elaine (Lawrence) Martinez, Louella (Joe) Pell, Paul (Lana) Gallegos, Christine (Peter Holtz) Martinez, Carolyn (Nick) Martinez, Barb (Ed) Van Buskirk, Dennis (Nancy) Gallegos, David (Patrick Kelly) Gallegos. She was preceded in death by parents Theodoro and Victoria (Garduno) Apodaca; one brother, Jose Bonifacio Apodaca, and three sisters, Priscilla Apodaca, Francis Burch and Eva Torres. Dora is survived by 5 brothers and 5 sisters: Fermin Apodaca, Don Apodaca, Irene Torres, Mary (Wilfrid) Madrid, Roger (Teresa) Apodaca, Leo (Bernadette) Apodaca, Gloria Romero, Bertha (Patrick Gonzalez) Bustamante, Robert (Jenny) Apodaca and Susan (Charlotte Wootten) Apodaca. Dora is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Grandchildren include: Jason (Nikki) Martinez, Melissa (Ben) Miland, Xenos (Eva) Aragon, Selina (Ray) Stonecipher, Don and Robin Crawford, Tina (James) Carney, Darrin (Jenna) Gallegos, Jesse Gallegos, Toby Gallegos, Levi Gallegos, Jeremiah (Shari) Martinez, Vicki (Jerome) Salazar, Tara (Ron) Alvarado, Nick (Rachael) Martinez, Eddie vanBuskirk, Brian (Anna) vanBuskirk, Shanna vanBuskirk, Solana Martinez, Dannie Douglass, and Jessica Gallegos. Great-grandchildren include: Tyler and Isaiah Miland, Breanna Aragon, Isaac and Sydney Stonecipher. Jay and Shawn Carney, Trey, Maverick and Bronx Gallegos, Gianna Gallegos, Alex and Tatum Martinez, Chance Blake, Stazia Martinez, Trinity, Zoe and Nia Salazar, Alex Martinez, Gabriel, Emannual, and Jonah Alvarado, and Aliyah Martinez. A memorial mass celebrating Dora's life will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 811 6th Street, Las Vegas, NM on Friday, November 14th at 10:30am.
