Robert John Pearsell

The rock of our family departed on July 29, 2021 at the age of 91 with loved ones by his side. Loving and devoted husband of Irene for over 66 years. Cherished father of Grant (Susan), Brian (Joan) and Beth (Roy). Caring grandpa of Christopher (Josina) and Joshua (Rachael). Christopher and Josina are saddened that covid 19 and travel restrictions prevented having more time together. Robert is predeceased by parents William and Hazel and sister Marian. Robert was a proud first-class stationary engineer and later moved onto a career with the Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital as an Assistant Administrator from where he retired. He was involved in Scouts for over 32 years which attributed to his love of outdoors and camping. Robert was an avid conservationist, lifelong walker, veracious learner and enjoyed reading in his down time. He was known to family and friends for his quick wit, pleasant and congenial personality. His family saw him as a role model who had a calm and balanced demeaner. Robert will be missed by extended family and friends. A private cremation has taken place and donations to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
