Not sure what to say?

October 10, 2017

God needed an Angel in Heaven, to stand at the Savior's feet. His choice must be the rarest, a Lily pure and sweet. He gazed upon the mighty throng, then stopped and picked the best, your Doris was His chosen one, with Jesus now at rest. Doris will be remembered fondly at Chapel in the Pines where she built up the Body of Christ. Old worship bulletins on file have her name mentioned continuously as one prepared to serve others and make things go. We miss Doris. We still reserve a parking space for Carolyn, Forrest and Doris --I suppose out of habit. We thank God for His gifts to us through Doris and how she gave her life to Jesus. We celebrate her life and times. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the entire family. And we know that we will all be together again as Saints in light joining the angels and archangels in singing eternal praises to Christ our King. On behalf of Chapel in the Pines, Rev Carl R. Lammers

Doris, You will be missed by all who ever met you. Such a sweet lady. I only knew you briefly in last couple of years at Chapel in the Pines. Your communication with your smile and eyes and few words was a sharing of a kind spirit. You inspired me to come to Church on days when I felt tired or too rushes having to dash off to work at the library. Seeing the love from Carolyn and Forrest and they escorted you in to the Church was the image of pure love. I will hold your image in my memory and always remember your soft hands. Carolyn and Forrest may God Bless you and give you comfort in your grief knowing you honored your Mother and loved her dearly. Sincerely, Judy Maxwell, Elder Chapel in the Pines
