1921-2018
Doris was born 9/20/1921 in Austin, TX, and passed away on 9/21/2018 in Houston, TX after a twelve year battle with Dementia. She had a long career at the Federal Land Bank of Houston, where she eventually retired. Doris enjoyed retirement by working in her yard, crocheting, taking care of her pets, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill whom she was married to for 60 years, her son Wayne, and all of her siblings. She is survived by daughter, Kathy Robeson, her Granddaughter, Jennifer Silveira and husband Scott, and her beloved great grandchildren, Derek and Kate Silveira. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with services beginning at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
