DORIS M. DALTON

DALTON, Doris M. Age 92, of Mashpee, formerly of Falmouth and Roslindale, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2022. She was the beloved wife of John Dalton to whom she was married for 70 years. She was predeceased by her four brothers, John, Billy, Bob, and Jocko Murray; and her best friend and sister-in-law Jean Murray.

Doris was born and raised in Roslindale and attended Boston public schools. She and her family moved to Falmouth in 1968, where she worked at Wood Lumber Co. for many years until her retirement. She was an avid golfer, a skilled knitter, and enjoyed playing mahjong with her cherished friends in the Southport community. Her favorite hobby was traveling to Saratoga in August, to watch the horse races. She was a loving wife, mother and "Nana" and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her loving husband John of 70 years, Doris is survived by two children, Judi Hom and husband David of Falmouth, & Jack Dalton and his partner Janice of Florida; three grandchildren, Megan Scorpio of West Bridgewater, Marisa Hom of Chicago, & Mitchell Hom of Burlington, VT; and many nieces & nephews.

A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth, MA, on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 11:00am.
