of Amelia, departed this life September 13, 2017. Doris was a faithful employee at St. Christopher's School for over 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Odelia Smith; one sister, Eva Jones; and two brothers, James E. Smith and Raymond Wardell Smith Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Robert L. Dyer Jr.; two children, Linda Ann Smith and Cecil Lamont Smith (Cynthia); two sisters, Mary Canada and Elizabeth Jones; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Marie Smith and Joyce Smith; three stepsisters, Olliebell Jones, Gladys Johnson and Ethel Lee Huston; one stepbrother, Eugene Robinson; and a host of other family and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Ave. Dr. A. Lincoln James Jr., pastor. Interment Maury Cemetery.
