Doris Proctor Obituary
TRUMANN - Doris Jean Proctor, 71, of Trumann, departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at the family residence. She was born June 17, 1951, in Tyronza to the late Tim and Faye Haynes Plunkett.
She worked at Singer and Columbia Forrest and was a lifelong resident of the Trumann area. She was of the Baptist faith and loved planting flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Proctor, one son, Jerry Leon Wilcockson Jr., and three sisters, Judy Dale Price, Betty Lynn Knight and Trina Ruth Galloway.
She is survived by one son, William Orville Wilcockson of Trumann; one daughter, Leona Jean Wilcockson of Payneway; three brothers, James (Jenny) Plunkett of Bay and Wayne and Daniel Plunkett, both of Marked Tree; two sisters, Katherine Baney of Mountain Home and Martha Davis of El Dorado; a half sister, Shirley K. Morris of Horseshoe Bend; and two grandchildren, Felicia Wilcockson and Tyler Dunavin.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow at 3 pm with the Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial will be private.
In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, masks or other facial coverings are optional and social distancing will be observed.
