Doris Schmidt Obituary
AGE: 88 • Marlton
Doris H. Schmidt (nee Crowthers), of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2017, at the age of 88. Born January 31, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Ellis H. Crowthers and Elizabeth O'Connor. Doris was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Bernard J. Schmidt and daughter Karen R. Marriott. She was a loving mother to sons: Bernard, Brian, Neal, and Dan and daughters: Lisa Skomsky, and Christina Kubisky. Doris also raised her grandson Thomas Schindler. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Interment will be private.

August 31 2017 at 11:50 pm, my mother passed away,
the most devastating time in my life. Today on August 31 2021 the 4th anniversary of her passing I will celebrate her life, reflect and smile on all the wonderful memories she gave me.
My mother was an incredible role model, I was very blessed to have her. The day I lost my mother, I lost part of myself, It hurt and it will always hurt. Mom thank you for giving me such a wonderful life and memories and on this day it just means a little bit more.

One of the most important word any child can learn and to speak is the word Mom. It is so hard for me to ever put into words the love I have felt for and from my mom and what she has meant to me. Through the years we have always been there for each other and looking back now each and everyday was something special a gift never to be forgotten. Mom you were the strongest person I have ever known an amazing teacher, a great listener and most of all my best friend.
