What a wonderful tribute to a beautiful lady. I only wish that I had known Doris better. My Mom (Gladys) worked with her in the 60s and always had a good word to say about her. I saw Doris several years ago with Mom and some of the other gals for a Birthday get-together and she was still sharp in spite of it all. As fellow Peace Officers I believe they both are in the presence of the "Prince of Peace" now - May He comfort your hearts at this time.

Doris will be greatly missed. When I was employed by Snohomish County, I enjoyed many activities with Doris and kept in touch with her over the years, exchanging birthday cards and she always kept me informed of the comings and goings of the people we worked with. I have many of her recipes and use them also. My last conversation with her was 2 years ago and her dementia was evident at that time. May she rest in peace with her Lord and Savior and may the good memories her family enjoyed with her, help to guide them through this trying time.

I knew Doris through work at the Sheriff's Office and also as Aunt Doris, as I am a friend of her niece, Shannon. Doris always had the best recipes to share, - and dinner and cookies once a week for Shannon's family. I always admired that tradition that Joel and Colin will remember. Her "Kids Favorite Cookies" recipe is one of my most treasured. I was blessed to know her. Marylou Hart

I enjoyed working with Doris while I was working in the Civil Dept. and Records office of Snohomish County. She was a wonderful lady and so willing to share all her recipes.

I knew Doris for many years as a member of the Snohomish County Sheriffs Reserve. She was a delightful individual and a person I had great respect for. My condolences to her family.

I worked my entire law enforcement career with Doris, in all of that time I never, ever, heard her complain, not once ! She was a really nice person and will be missed.
