Dale and Joyce,
Sad to hear of the loss of Doris. My thoughts and prayers are with you today. She was a good lady who lived a good life. May you find peace knowing she is in a better place. I am unable to attend her memorial as Donna and I are traveling but I'll be thinking of you.

Doris was a special lady and we loved her very much. We are Greg's in-laws, in that his wife Karen is my sister. Greg always called Doris, "Mommie", and so did Karen. So I often referred to her in that way. Bill, my husband, and I had a lot of fun with Doris over the years. She and Bob came to Arkansas often and then to Missouri after Greg and Karen moved to Branson. Karen and I would take Doris to quilt shops and to craft fairs. What a delight....something she thoroughly enjoyed and we certainly enjoyed being with her. We found that even though she grew up in the North and us in the South we still had a great deal in common. On one trip she made to Branson, when she was ready to go home, Karen and I took her to Springfield, IL where Dale and Joyce met us to take her the rest of the way to Michigan. On that particular trip she toured the Abraham Lincoln Museum with us. She sure enjoyed it and so did Karen and I. Yes Doris, you will be missed by "all of your extended family", (meaning myself and Bill and our kids). We love you and loved spending time with you and Bob.....you will remain in our memories forever. May God Bless your immediate family and friends and give them special strength to get through this sad time in their lives. Forever yours, Sherrell and Bill Buchanan, Fort Smith, AR

What a blessing Doris was to all of us at St. Luke's -- an example of faith and perseverance. And a great sense of humor -- I enjoyed our conversations very much, she always had opinions and she always made me smile.
She will be missed -- I'm sorry I cannot make it to the funeral to celebrate her life and to personally express my sympathy to her family at this time of loss.
