Doris M. Young

Doris M. (Coles) Young, 84, of Hanover died at the Brigham & Womens Hospital Oct. 10, after a brief illness. Daughter of William O. and Gladys (Bonfield) Coles, Doris was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., May 24, 1927, where she was raised and educated. A devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother, Doris was involved with the Hanover Council of Aging and on the committee for the holiday bizarre at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, where she was a communicant. Doris is survived by her loving husband, Thomas P. Young; her sons, Robert of New Hampshire, Paul and his wife Mary of Whitman, John and his wife Wendi of Hanson; and her daughters, Pat Gunning and her husband Paul of Rockland, Kathryn Moles of Middleboro, Theresa Richard and her husband Kenneth of New Hampshire and Helene Murdock and her husband David of South Yarmouth. She was a special grandmother to 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 15, at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart, 392 Hanover St., Hanover.
