We are so sorry to learn that Dorie has left us. The sadness we feel today has revived all the happy memories that she gave us during those many years that we were together in the Catherine Traill Naturalists Club. She was a constant source of information, even in general conversation, drawing on her vast knowledge of plants, flowers, fruits and berries growing in the wild. The memories bring back the taste of those wonderful wild fruit jellies that she used to make. Thank you Dorie. We send our sincere condolences to the family.

Dear Bruce and Family, Irwin and I were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your mother. This note did not come sooner because we were in Dallas celebrating Joseph's 50ieth. Please accept our deepest sympathy and extend it to your family. May being surrounded by your family and friends provide you with comfort and your memories of her give you solace.
