I just learned of Miss Dolly's passing. She was certainly a wonderful woman who devoted much of her life to fighting for equity and inclusion. She will be greatly missed but the heavens now have her in their presence. I will always remember you and always be inspired by you as I continue to work hard for social justice.

My Godly Mother a crown she will wear,
Over beautifully styled silken hair.
A spectacular jewel upon which she can boast
Of putting Him first, her most heavenly host.
The colors of crimson, emerald, and gold,
A magnificently spectacular site to behold.
The fullness and richness of true royalty
Stands next to her Savior with dignity.
Perfection of body and grace full abounds,
With angelic singing and glorious sounds,
This fabulous vision in her place so secure,
Everlasting, refreshing, holy, and pure,
Is where my prudent thoughts will be,
When upon her earthly grave I see,
Her precious name etched in stone,
Bejeweled, embellished at His throne.
This is where I'll long to be,
Adorned, with mother next to me.
