Dorothy Marie Brentlinger, 93, of Terre Haute, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in Meadows Manor East. She was born on June 15, 1915, in Vigo County, to Theodore Hauer and Mary Ann Dosch Hauer.Survivors include her sons, Terry Brentlinger and Melita, Tony Brentlinger and Susan, and Theodore Brentlinger and Diane, all of Terre Haute; two daughters, Teresa Hayworth and Joe of Prairieton and Trudy Longest and Mike of Terre Haute; sisters, Mary Jo Moore and Helen Michl; grandchildren, Erin Brentlinger, Jared Brentlinger (Laura), Abby Livers (Tim), Brad Brentlinger (Kelly), Libby Hayworth Lenne (Larry), Brian Hayworth (Julie), Matt Newmister, Jesse Newmister, Anne Newmister, Ryan Longest (Katrina), Chris Longest (fiancée Allison Ayres); great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob Lenne, Kyle Brentlinger and Mason and Marlie Hayworth; stepgrandson, John Carver; stepgranddaughter, Carrie Carpenter (Fred); and four stepgreat-grandchildren, Joanne Carver, Thad Carpenter, Brian Carpenter and Seth Carpenter.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry P. Brentlinger; brother, Theodore J. Hauer; and one son, Jerry Brentlinger.She was a member of Beacon School of the Valley, St. Margaret Mary Church and Altar Society, St. Benedict Church and Altar Society, Schulte Mother’s Club, Prairieton Fire Auxiliary and St. Ben’s Soup Kitchen. Recipient of First Family Services Association.Memorial services are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, March of Dimes, Alzheimer’s Association, Alternatives for Living and Learning, or charity of your choice.

Dear Cousins
