Growing up at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Dorothy Chernosky was the lady who made the biscuits for Lenten Suppers. Dorothy was a long-time friend of my Mother Mabelle's and of Mom's housemate Betty Callahan.

Even though it's been a few years since I left MDACC, I still remember Dorothy's dedication to volunteering there. I was saddened to see her name. My thoughts & prayers are with your family. She was a wonderful woman.

I met Dorothy 2 years ago when we moved to University Place. It was a pleasure to know her and a definite treat to "play" bridge with her. I played, Dorothy was serious! She was the ultimate competitor and really hated to lose. I'll miss that bright smile and her unforgetable laugh. Hook 'em Horns!

I had the privilege of knowing Dorothy through the Ankenman family as well as through her years of service as a volunteer at UTMDACC. As a RN on the Head & Neck inpatient unit, I considered all individuals associated with this unique group of patients as part of a family, Dorothy included. Your mother was a delightful presence on our unit, a tremendous help to patients/families/staff, and a friend to me. I celebrate her life with you.
