DASE DOROTHY
Age 86, on Sunday, March 27, 2016, of Churchill, formerly of Forest Hills. Beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Dase; cherished mother of Diane (Donald) Evans, David Dase and Donna (Kent Tarpley) Dase-Tarpley; loving grandmother of Danny, Matthew, Melanie (Gregory), Kayla, Kyle and LeAnn; aunt of Dr. Dennis (Donna) Dase; lifelong friend, Selma Jackson and longtime friend, Lucille Broadberry; and her many special friends from Demor Towers. Dorothy lived most of her life in Forest Hills and she was the last living founding member of Hope Lutheran Church Of Forest Hills. She was the first majorette of Wilkinsburg HS and worked as a secretary at Westinghouse; later she worked in fashion clothing sales. She enjoyed painting, theater, and music. Tom Jones was her favorite singer and she was even a member of his Fan Club, traveling each summer to see him in Atlantic City! She impacted this world by being an example of quiet strength, golden character, and endless love. Her husband, three children and six grandchildren were her life. Her devotion to family always came first and she loved to bring everyone together more than anything else in this world! That's when her famous, beautiful smile shined the brightest. She will always be remembered for that gentle, warm, smile... forever a shining light in our hearts!
