Bluffton Dorothy J. "Dottie" Edinger, 81 of Bluffton died at 2:45 am January 1, 2013 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born January 7, 1931 in Mt. Cory to the late John and Anna (Gorby) Bowersox. On June 28, 1953 she married Norman Edinger and he died December 5, 1992. Dottie retired from Bluffton Hospital. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. She loved all sports especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds. She was a 1948 graduate of Mt. Cory High School Survivors include three sons Denny (Jane) Edinger of Bluffton, Doug (Linda) Edinger of Stonington, Maine, Don Edinger of Lima; five grandchildren Andrew (Katie) Edinger, Allison Edinger, Isaac Edinger, Johanna (Ed) McDaniel, Brayden Edinger; one great grandchild Silas Edinger; a brother Robert Bowersox of Bluffton and a sister Elinor (Harry) Burkholder of Bluffton. Four brothers John Bowersox Jr., Kenneth Bowersox, Richard Bowersox, Earl Bowersox and two sisters Ruth Schoonover and Eloise Christman preceded her in death. Services will be 11:00 am Friday at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Revs. Dick Potter, Jim King and Kathy Brauen officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Mennonite Church.
