Dorothy (Dot) Esposito passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at her residence, Summit Assisted Living in Lynchburg, VA.

Dot was born in Wharton, NJ on December 17, 1932, she was the oldest daughter of Marion Carlson Williams with two younger sisters, Jean Rudinsky of Milton, FL, who predeceased her in death and Lois Williams of Hendersen, NC. She is survived by her daughter, Teri Mygas of Newport News, VA, her son, Joe Esposito (Vicki) of Bedford, VA, grandchildren; Stefan Mygas (Melissa) of Newport News, VA, Lauren Mehalso (Matt) of Marietta, GA, Alison Keefe (Dan) of Richmond, VA, Maggie Esposito of Roanoke, VA, Olivia Esposito of Wilmington, NC and six great-grandchildren.

Dot attended Dover High School, where she met her husband of 64 years, Sebastian Joseph (Joe) Esposito, who predeceased her in death. Dot traveled with Joe during his time in the US Army and they settled in Long Valley, NJ, where she worked and retired in her career with the New Jersey Education System as an Administrative Manager.

Dot and Joe retired to Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, VA in 1996. Dot spent her time doing her favorite things; cooking, shopping and traveling. She loved her family tremendously and spent as much time as possible with them. There was never a shortage of home cooked meals to share and there were even more meals and desserts to send home with everyone. Dot and Joe enjoyed traveling in the United States and internationally during their retirement.

Family will be celebrating the life of Dot and Joe Esposito later this year.
