Gordon and crew, I am very sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. Such a dynamic and charming activist for change. She took NL by storm with her move to femisism,the NDP, protecting old downtown, her peace protests and lobbies for justice and equality on all fronts. Mary, I remember the matching outfits and the roll of your teenage eyes! Gordon, I always admired the wonderful relationship you two shared and how you were there with and for her in all her efforts. How proud you both were of your children and how committed you were to teaching value; the warmth of your beautiful home on Maxse Street. The world is a better place because she made it so. I and many more like me are better people because of what we learned from her. Our thoughts are with you, Cathy and Paul Murphy

Dear Gordon;
The stars above Spread Eagle will continue to watch over Dorothy and the birds around your cabin will miss her as much as all of us earthlings.
Hugh and I raise a glass of wine along with all the people who's hearts Dorothy touched. She will be missed by all the Schooleys.

Dear Gordon
Arnie and I send our sincerest condolences to you and all your family. It is many years since we attended those all-night parties at your home on Maxse St in St John's. What fun they were!
Dorothy was an amazing and dynamic woman who will be greatly missed. Her contribution to the women's movement will never be forgotten.

Dear Gordon & family:
My wife and I send our deepest condolences on the passing of Dorothy. We heard of her death while watching the local CBC news and we were both suddenly struck with deep emotion. It is a great pity that a life so valuable as that which shone in Dorothy could not be continued for years longer. She will be missed by all of us in Newfoundland who had the privilege to know her. Since she left here I have thought about her often, dreaming of a time when I would have the privilege of meeting her again. It's sad to think we will never meet again. She enriched my life as she did all who heard of her, and those for whom she labored in politics and society. We will continue to think of you, Gordon, and pray for a world with more people like Dorothy.

Dear Mary and family,
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to you during this sad time. Mary always spoke to me of her mother's strength and convictions. My impression of Dorothy Inglis is that of a strong, passionate and loving woman, wife, mother and grandmother.
We wish you all love and peace,
Wendy, Grace and Noah
