Dorothy came into my life but for a short period of time. Her bubbly and colourful personality, left me with a lasting impression.
She had a personality that one never forgets. My life had been enriched by hers.

Dorothy and I worked at The Empress Hotel in 1969-72. When I first went there as Controller Dorothy managed the Purdy's Chocolate Shop and then became the PR Director of the hotel when Louis Finamore was GM. She was the most vibrant personality on the staff and was liked by all. Although this was along time ago we have remained in touch during her life in Vancouver and have enjoyed lunches together. Her husband Fred was in my Rotary Club and in 2013 Dorothy came to Victoria for a memorial lunch at the Bengal Bar remembering Louis Finamore our GM. May she rest in peace.... a personality not to be forgotten.
