Besides the lulabies you sang for me when I was a child, I will always remember talking about our experiences we shared living on the farm, which we agreed was "paradise" in Lake Providence, LA. As a teenager, like many of your friends, you were bold enough to journey North with the Great Migration of young people in search of a better life, economically. After finding a job and a place to stay, you returned to take me back with you to the "promised land" in Milwaukee, where we had no family. Together, we would overcome many challenges and circumstances, which you began to write about in your unfinished memoirs. Some of those episodes would make a best seller or motion picture. I was honored to have played the role of your little champion and protector forever fighting by your side. Perhaps, I will finish the book for you.

Mommie was so love by all who knew her. Because of her unselfish love she made sure all of her children & grandchildren had a verse to her infamous song; "This world is all of thine creation". We loved to laugh & sing along when we all came together. Rest well, my dear Grandmother Mommie. I love you!
