Although I knew Dorothy only for 5 or 6 years we became Instant friends through Catching Sense Book club and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. I admired her intelligences ,sense of humor, straight forward approach to everything and her thoughtful kindness. I will miss her and always remember her.
Rest in Peace Dorothy

I loved Dorothy Moorehead and the special friendship she had with my mother, Roberta Greenidge Hughes Wright. They were Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorors, Links and belonged to the social club, Sophisticates, inc. My daughter, Blythe L. Allen and I share those same affiliations.
Dorothy was an officer of the Womens Committee, an auxiliary of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. She was compassionate of others, given that she volunteered to contact the ill and shut-in members or their families who had various challenges. After Mom passed, she continued to reach out and check on me.
Dorothy´s missed but never forgotten and entrusted in the Arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
