Thinking of you- My Wonderful Cousins. I love you all very much and I hold Aunt Dort's memories close to my heart. She was a very special person in my life and my love for her was great.
I will always remember the wonderful times we all had growing up together. She always made you see the good side of life and when you were down she always made you smile. If you fell and hurt your knee she would draw animals on your sore with some funny red stuff that would make it all better. I just loved having a sore so she could draw on my leg or arm.
I really laugh when I think of rainy days at the lake. We always looked forward to some rain because Aunt Dort brought sunshine into every day. She would tell us all to find the ugliest clothes we could (I always liked pretty things) and we would go for a walk, singing in the rain. I just loved finding the ugliest clothes and I remember we all tried to outdo each other in the ugly category. To this day when it rains I think of putting something ugly on and going for a walk in the rain. I think the next time we have rain that is exactly what I will do and I will think of my Aunt and how much I loved her.
Aunt Dort will never be gone from us as she will live on in our hearts and we will always enjoy the wonderful memories we all have of her.
God Bless You All My Precious Family--- Love Always Faye
