I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Vallons passing. She was the best of the best, a wonderful teacher that I will always remeber fondly (even though I spent my fair share of time in the 'Penalty Box')

I was so saddened to hear of Aunt Dorothy's passing. She was an awesome, fun, classy, intelligent lady who will be greatly missed. She had such a young spirit about her. You always enjoyed talking with her and she always made everyone feel good about themselves.
You were blessed to have her in your life.

Mrs. Vallon was the first teacher I had in Longmeadow, upon moving there in 1992. I still remember the "penalty box" she had for misbehaving students and the "comma dance" she used to teach us how to write long numbers. What a funny, creative, and kind woman! God bless.

Dorothy was an insirpation, not only to me, but to my son, Andrew, one of her former fifth grade students. I had the pleasure of knowing Dorothy, not only as a colleague, friend, and my son's teacher. My son, Andrew, now a successful attorney, always spoke highly of Mrs. Vallon, and was saddened when he learned of her passing. "Mom, she had the neatest 'In Trouble Box' and it was really fun to get caught doing something and get sent to it. One time I had to sing THREE verses of "The Star Spangled Banner" to the class." Thank you, Dorothy, for the compassion you showed as a teacher. Thank you for the insipration you gave as a person. I'll always chuckle over the paper clip necklace. With love, Suzanne
