Dorothy Wallis, age 87, of Brick Township, died Friday, September 9th, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born and raised in Woodbury NJ, then moved to Brick Township in 1956.
She was a homemaker who also loved her birds and flowers. Dorothy loved to sew and do embroidery as well as keep a variety of gardens. She was a girl scout brownie leader when her girls were young. She was an avid bowler and very active in her church. She loved to go up to her camper in Carlisle, Pa. during the summer months with her husband in her retirement years.
She was predeceased by her husband David in 2014.
Surviving are her son David J. Wallis and his wife Evelyn of Brick and three daughters, Cheryl Wallis of Brick, Gail Hascha and her husband Richard of Cooks Falls, NY, and Linda Krywinski and her husband Bruce of Howell. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Brittany Barrar and her husband Mark, Michaela DeLiberato and her husband Danny, David Wallis and his wife Jackie; Ian, Erin and Connor Mulligan; Alex and Matthew Hascha and Bruce and David Krywinski. She was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Brynn, Beau, Bennett and David.
Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday, September 14th from 9:30 to 11:00am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. Funeral Services will be offered also on Wednesday at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow to the Laurelton Baptist Church Cemetery in Brick.
