Age 55, of Castle Shannon, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Beloved son of Eleanor and the late Richard Baer; brother of Diane Yecko, Gina Baer, and the late Richard Baer; fiance of Diane Stack; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family and friends will be welcomed at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, INC., 1008 Castle Shannon Blvd., Castle Shannon, THURSDAY 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home Friday morning at 10:30. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association, 100 W. Station Square Dr., Landmarks Building Suite 1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.

I will cherish everything that you have taught me in life, the wonderful memories I hold dear to my heart and you kindness and love towards me and my family. I am thankful for the wonderful years you gave to my mother and I know she will love you always. I will miss water skiing (one wake Monica, you use to call me...you taught me to water ski and eventually slalom ski), the boat/driving it and all the wonderful times we had. I will miss you so much and all your kindness. Til we meet again.

Doug, you will be missed. I will carry the childhood memories of our lives and our neighborhood - they are such a large part of who I am today. Doug was a wonderful person and friend. His laugh was contagious/infectious and it would make me laugh just hearing him laugh, even if I didn't know what he was laughing about. He will be missed by everyone and the world is a colder place without Doug. God bless you.
