Douglas Bassett

I worked with Doug at SED Systems in the late 70's in Ottawa and Saskatoon on the CTS/Hermes project. I recall Doug was a focused and insightful leader from whom I learned many lessons. My condolences go out to Carole.

An officer and a gentleman comes to mind when I think of Doug. But he was much more than this, with his kind heart and big smile, always willing to listen, always helpful. He had added a special quality to the space agency. I miss him. My condolences to his loving family.

Doug was a kind and honest man. He entrusted me with the creation of his dear MOTS at the CSA, I hope I thanked him sufficiently for that opportunity, but I never got to say good bye... Good Bye Doug

I will always remember the kindness of Doug and Carole during my stay in Ottawa many years ago.
