Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 13, 2006.
Douglas C. Curtiss 50, a long time resident of Southborough, died on November 12, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family. He fought a hard battle against leukemia.

In 1977, while he was in college, he started his landscape business, Doug Curtiss Landscape Designing, of Southborough with a single truck, which has continued to grow successfully after 29 years of being in business. For a while they also had a retail store, called Curtiss Garden Concepts, which sold items pertaining to gardening. He enjoyed restoring antique Jaguars with his sons and relaxing at their summer home in Peacham, VT with his family.

In addition to his wife and his parents he is survived by four sons, Phillip, Garrett, Gregory, and Eric Curtiss all of Southborough; a sister, Pamela Jackman and her husband Daniel of Hopedale; two brothers, Mark Curtiss and his wife Joye of Milton, VT; Richard Curtiss and his partner Charles of Medway; and many nieces and nephews
