A deep and witty guy, a great friend from grad school at UCI. The world is less without him.

Dear Professor Dawson's Family,
My deepest and sincerest condolences for the loss of your husband, father, son, and family. He was a wonderful professor that encouraged his students to think outside the box and assigned projects that could add to the science of disease and healing.

I looked the Professor up as I realized I did not let him know how much I appreciated his lectures, comments about my work, and how I could improve on it at UHartford. My work has influenced scientists, experts, and politicians how the science can be improved for better care and treatments. Much work still needs to be done. We still have major work to do, but we can get there.

Professor Dawson's influence was instrumental in beginning my graduate work and through completion of my graduate study. I so appreciate it.

Duke was magic. He once built a replica of the Princeton tiger sculpture -and he made it entirely out of snow-life-sized. Duke was magic. A brilliant cartoonist, a scientific genius, a gifted educator, and his "joy of living" was unparalleled. To Trish, family, and loved ones: May the golden memories of your lives together with Duke sustain you throughout the years ahead.

Sorry for the loss of your husband I didn't realize he passed if you have a copy of Grammy hodgdons 90th party at the house in Ellington I am in picture with buck teeth and glasses I am aunt Dorothy's grandson

Professor Dawson is one of my favorite Education professor´s at Worcester State. He truly was an amazing teacher who thought of out of the box lessons and made learning so much fun even when Covid hit and we were all online. I hope I´m half as good of a teacher as he was when I have my own classroom. I am sorry for your loss, Professor Dawson was truly an amazing man.

I was shocked to hear of Doug´s passing - when he spoke, I listened. I valued his kindness, humor, perception, and sense of perspective. My students adore him. I am so sorry for your loss.
