Passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 29, 2015 in his 95th year. Beloved husband and friend for 72 years of Eunice Digby. Loving father to Bruce and Beverly (Mike Levesque). Caring grandfather of Shaun, Jennifer (Todd), Patrick, Julie (deceased) and Danielle. Great-grandfather to Logan, Lincoln, Olivia and Sofia. Doug served in the military from 1939 until 1969, he then went on to DND serving as the Director General of Compensation and Benefits until his retirement in 1983. Doug and Eunice toured the world and enjoyed their lifetime together. He treasured his family and the time they spent together. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Promenade Retirement Home and Dr. Daigneault for their care and compassion. A private family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences can be made at www.colefuneralservices.com
