Oh my, I'm just learning about this 7 years later. I am so very sorry. Doug was a sweetheart of a guy. I was at Eastman School of Music with him. Then ran into him in Atlanta one time. RIP, my friend. I'll see you again one day.

Dear Frew siblings, Doug and I served together with A Christian Ministry in the National Parks at Yellowstone in 1979. He was such a gift to our team, both for his music and his heart. I was so glad to reconnect with him in recent years. I have been missing him and discovered the news of his loss. I grieve. Such a sensitive and engaging listener. Such a wonderful blend of gifts of hands, heart, and head. May you continue to know him through the stories of others. May you know that the Lord knows and cares about your loss and may he be a companion and comfort to you. I hope he knows how he is loved. Linda, I'm so very sorry to hear about Doug. I remember what a good piano player he and Billy both were when teenagers. Take comfort that you will see him again someday. Agape Love, Steve

Doug was our church choir director and taught us a lot. My teenage daughter was devastated to hear of his passing since he was her first 'organized music teacher'. We miss him.

My husband and I were so fortunate to be Doug's friends, and I'm glad I was able to come to the service Saturday to honor him and meet you. I miss him so much!

Doug left footprints on many many hearts in Rochester NY, including mine.

It was extremely heartbraking to hear of Doug's death. I was just beginning to connect with him after 50 some years. We were both interested in the genealogy of our Frew family.
I remember Doug as the little red headed toddler that I adored so much when I was a teenager. Your dad Howard was my cousin. Unfortunate, my husband and I moved to Maryland in 1961 and it was a rare time when I saw any of my family from New Jersey or New York. Linda, your family, and Bill, just know that I will be thinking of you all on Saturday. I am unable to make it to OC as my family has a prior committment. Of all the weekends, you picked the one that makes it impossible for us to travel. Warm hugs and good wishes for you all in the weeks ahead as you heal.

Dear Bill and Linda- I was so sorry to learn of Doug's passing. I had the pleasure of hearing him play at your folks' home (along with my dad Ray), years ago. Please accept my condolences on the loss of your brother.

Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us.

Doug was a good schoolmate. He always smiled and had a good word for you. He was talented musically and will be missed by many.
