Douglas Brian Hackbarth, formerly of Dixon, Illinois, born on February 15, 1960 in Lexington Park, Maryland, to the late Shirley Coddington Hackbarth and James (Rogene) Hackbarth, passed away at age 58 on November 4, 2018 in San Diego, California. He was in the Masonry industry as a Self-Employed Mason Prior to Retirement at Doug's Masonry. Douglas was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ella Hackbarth and Elvira Coddington; and grandfathers, Earl Hackbarth and Bert Coddington. He is survived by his son, Douglas Hackbarth, Jr.; daughter, Felicia Hackbarth; brothers, Daniel Hackbarth and David Hackbarth; sister, Darce Hackbarth; and stepsister, Dawn Johnson Kanzler. Friends and family can pay their respects at the celebration of life on Saturday, December 8.

A special cousin. We both accepted each other for what we were. We could be separated for long periods of time but when we saw each other it was as if time stood still. Will miss you and am sending my love. The angels have you.
