My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I was saddened to hear of Grant's passing. As one of Grant's childhood friends from Keokuk, I now mourn his loss again. Although Grant was only 10 years old when he left us in Keokuk, he never left my mind. I will always remember our days on the ball fields and regret not ever having the chance to know him as a man. I can tell you that from what I have been reading, Grant didn't change much. He left a positive and lasting impression on me, in a very short time. Please know that Grant will be forever missed, but never forgotten. God willing, Grant and I can have an eternity to catch up on all the lost years.

Maura, Graham, Bryn, Kenworthys, and Koenigs,
We were so sad to hear about Grant and are truly sorry for your loss. As many people have already said, Grant was an amazing person, such a great dad. He walked up and down North Ridge Drive more than any parent ... with Graham always at his side. Graham always kept him super busy. I'll never forget looking across the street one evening and a light in the garage was on - so bright as he worked diligently on Graham's wooden table for hours. There was definitely some craftsmanship there and what a great keepsake. There was definitely love built right into that piece of work. Know that we have been and are always thinking of you. Prayers continue to come your way. It was a pleasure to get to know the whole family, so supportive through it all. Grant will be sorely missed.
Sincerely,
Patty, Shawn, Edie, and Alex Schwickerath

My sympathy goes out to you Maura and your children, and to your Family, and to the Parents of Grant as well as the siblings. Though I did not know Grant in person I am a friend of Brian's and have been Praying for Grant and his Family for quite some time now as we both had a Family member with Cancer.
Now that Grant is in Heaven with our Heavenly Father is when the Family will really need the help of all of the Family and Friends that are nearby.
I continue to will keep all of you in my Prayers. God Bless you at this difficult time in your life.
