To the Kerslake family my sincere condolences. I have fond memories of Doug during our high school days... hockey, Highway 16, and ham sandwiches in Joyce's kitchen.

It is with great sadness I learned of Doug's passing. I have many fond memories of time spent with Doug growing up in the Inglewood area - school, cubs, birthday parties, hockey and broomball in the Kerslake backyard are but a few. My sincere sympathies to the entire family and may the Lord be a blessing and strength to you all at this time.

Doug was a special friend, cousin as well as uncle to all of us. Many great times; growing up between the lake, and Edmonton Garden's arena. As adults the special bond grew to include countless get together's with Doreen and Joel at the lake and of course meetings in the garage. Christmas Eve was also another special time. Our hearts ache for the whole family. With love at this sad time.

Doreen, Mom, Cathy, June, and Family,
Doug was always kind and generous to me, and I am grateful to him for always welcoming me as a part of the family. Whether sitting out in the garage or out at the lake, the memories we shared over hockey, family, or about other things while having a beer will be always cherished. When talking with Doug, I came to know a man who deeply loved his family and friends. He really cared about all of you through his words and in his deeds. Just remember when days seem the darkest, those we love remain with us in our hearts forever, and those cherished memories will never fade. May the peace that comes from those shared memories and his love for you comfort you now and in the days ahead.
