Dearest Barbie and Family,
Your tribute to Doug on Tuesday was amazing. Your DVD of photos and music touched everyone in the room and Pastor Pierce's words were so in line with your lives and your love. I pray he brought as much comfort to you as he did all of us in attendance. I want you to know it was a priviledge to have known Doug and to have experienced the love you share. In the same manner, it was an honor to attend his memorial.
My heart aches for your loss, but at the same time, my soul rejoices for Doug...for he is Home with our Lord. How amazing!
I love you all dearly.

The Knolls, and The Carters,
Like a lot of people have said, I always saw Doug with a smile on his face. Usually making jokes and giving me a hard time, but always loving! He was one of the most generous men I will ever know! His struggle has been teaching me how to live life to the fullest and I will be forever grateful for that life lesson! I am so grateful for the time that I got spend with Doug!
Please know that I love you all!

Barbie, I am here for you, your extended family is here for you. To carry you through this dark time. Doug is snowmobiling with the other angels, then in the summer he'll be mowing God's grass! I love you sweetheart!

Hi Barbie
My prayers go to you and all of the family and loved ones who are surely many of you and Doug during this time. My dad passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago and it still hurts and there are no words to describe how it feels. It is just all grief and it is a process and it is waves, sometimes big waves and as time passes, more like ripples. I know Doug was sick but nothing really prepares someone to say goodbye. God Bless you Barbie, love you, am shedding a few tears for you, I pray that you keep it real and lean on your friends, family and God. Give me a call or email if you like. cm

Barbie..Although it has been years since we have contacted you, please know of the shock in reading of Doug's passing. Please know that there is a reason for all seasons. All prayers from friends and loved ones can be the anchor for you at this time. It is hard though but you are strong and have God's love in your heart. With Him, All Things Are Possible.
Showers of Blessings to You and the families.

Barbie (and family),
I am so sorry. I heard of Doug's downturn at one meeting and his departure at the next meeting. Even tho Doug was not a member of the "cult" I belong to, and I did not know him as well as some of his closer friends, I share in your grief and offer my warmest and saddest condolences.
The spark of joy and gratitude I feel is in my sureness that you and he extracted every ounce of shared love and enthusiasm that is possible in a human marriage blessed by God, leaving nothing to waste. Um ... well, that's *my* opinion anyhow. :) Peace.

Hang In There Barbie.
It's going to be okay,
Just give things a little time.
And in the meantime...
Keep believing in yourself;
take the best of care;
try to put things in perspective;
remember what's most important;
don't forget that we care;
search for the positive side;
learn lessons to be learned;
and find your way through to the inner qualities...
the strength, the smiles, the wisdom, and
the optimistic outlook that are such special parts of you.
It's going to be okay. We know it will be. Because We know you. We love you honey, Hang in there
