As a long time collector of film music Douglas Lackey's name came to my attention a few years ago after purchasing a privately pressed LP from 1962 entitled Excerpts From 1962 Motion Picture Scores. I'm proud to own a copy of this very rare recording of excellent film music composed by a real composer and performed by actual musicians. Rest in peace.
