Doug Oldham returned to his Heavenly Father, Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Murray, Utah. Doug was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 15, 1959 to John Edward Oldham and Laura Lee Gunnell. He attended Granite High School and graduated from Salt Lake Community College. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Japan. Doug loved to spend time with his friends and his family. He loved to attended his niece's and nephew's (and then their children's) sporting events and was always there to support them on birthdays, blessings and baptisms. He loved to golf and to ride his motorcycle.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents and his chocolate lab, Duchess. Doug is survived by his brothers, Richard (Debbie), Michael (Kay) and his sister Patricia (Bryant) and 10 nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his explicit instruction, there will be no funeral services.

Doug was "just one of the neighborhood kids". It was a great place to grow up and play hard. He was kind and sweet, a good friend to my brother Dave. My condolences to Mike, Pat and Richard this makes me so sad.

Doug always said if one of us won the lottery we'd split it. I know he would have (me probably not so much :) ), but I the end I feel like I'm the one who won the lottery by getting to know him. He was the type of friend who let you pick the movie, who let you (at least think) you won the argument and who was always there if you needed anything. I will miss him and his kind smile, his calm nature and his unending friendship. You really couldn't ask for a better friend.
