To the entire Pardee family: I'm so very sad to hear of Doug's passing. I will miss seeing his friendly, smiling face everytime I would be in town and would stop in Bi-Lo. He truly was a wonderful person, who always had a smile on his face and a kind word for every person he encountered. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I was saddened to hear of Doug's passing and would like to share a memory of "Quake".
I was a senior in high school and worked with Doug at the former Riverside. Channel 6 came and reported on the Grand Opening. Doug's response was that Hollywood was coming to Seward and that we might get discovered. That's what I remember of Doug..funny, upbeat and truly a good person.
By the looks of guest book responses, Doug touched many lives.
Rest in Peace old Friend.

Jimmy, Connie and family, I've known Quake since we were kids. Quake, Matt and I gruduated high school together and it was a mini-reunion every time I visited Bilo. Looking back, Quake was the same kind, gentle, loving soul then as he was as a man. He lived a life you can proud off and I know you are. I have learned from his example.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
