Douglas Verschelde Obituary
Raised in Medford, NJ, Doug was preceded in death by his parents Douglas A. and Tammy (nee Ainis) Verschelde, his paternal grandparents Maurice and Edith Verschelde, and maternal grandparents Charles and Evelyn Ainis.
He is survived by his daughter Angelina LaChappelle, brother Ryan (Amanda), nieces Payton and Abigail, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and his greatest supporter in life, Wayne Scholl.
Doug's greatest joy in life was spending time with his beautiful daughter, Angelina, in South Carolina. When he wasn't in South Carolina, he could often be found fishing with his friends from all walks of life or working on his boat. He was a member of Five Alive Bassmasters. He also enjoying playing recreational softball as part of the Scudz Sports team.
His ashes are interred at Sunset Memorial Park in Huntingdon Valley, PA with his grandparents and father, and also at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle, NJ. In lieu of funeral services, a memorial service and celebration of life will be held in the Spring or Summer. Donations to fund for Doug's daughter, Angelina can be sent to:
