Douglas Walker

Linda and Family,
I have been out of town and just heard the sad news today. I am so sorry that Doug did not make it to Christmas as he hoped. I remember the first time that I met you with Doug in the stroller in the hallways of Bishop Pinkham. You were a very proud new mother.
Your memories will keep him in your hearts.
My prayers will be with you.

I am so sorry to hear that Doug has left us. It's been years since I have seen him or chatted with him. My condolonences to his friends and families, I know he will be missed. RIP Doug.

Dear Walker family, we were so sorry to hear of Douglas' passing. We always enjoyed seeing all of you when Doug would come in to reviews to meet with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

To the Walker family,
I had the privilege of teaching Douglas during the fall term at Mount Royal university. He was so keen to learn all that he could to be the best professional helper possible. His natural giving qualities shone through. My heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved him. Our lives were enriched by his time with us.

Douglas began his practicum at the Canadian Cancer Society in January.He greatly helped us gain an understanding of the unique needs of young people living with cancer. He very quickly became part of our CCS family. You will be sadly missed, and your work is not lost. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

I didn't know Doug well, but had met him a few times over all the years I have known you. He was a wonderful son as you and I have shared many stories about our families, so I felt that I knew Doug a little more then I really did.

Words can't say how you are all feeling at this moment, but my thoughts and prayers are with you always. Thought of you often over the past few months.

Douglas had the most radiant heart of any individual I have ever met. We connected immediately over spirituality. As my heart is filled with emotion, I know that Douglas lived with integrity, compassion and true humanism. I feel blessed to have been in his presence and feel is spirit. My condolences go out to his family and all those that have been impacted by his passing.

I knew Doug through the Tom baker, each time he checked in at the Outpatient Department. He was always kind and friendly.

It is my privilege to have known Doug and although I lost touch with him in the years since high school, I think of him often as he features in so many of the memories of my school years. I always crack a smile whenever I think of how Doug would spend every homeroom period of Grade 8 writing Chinese characters on the blackboard. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

My deepest condolences go to all of his family and many wonderful friends. I attended University with Douglas we usually sat next to each other in class drinking or joking about Fresca. We had many giggle fits usually ending with me having to leave class because I couldn't contain myself and once returning him looking at me and bursting into laughter again. He was always happy and always willing to help others. He was a wonderful man with so much to teach the world. I have the utmost respect for him and he will live in the hearts of others forever.

I've known you, Doug, forever as your Mother Linda & I have been friends since high school. A kind, quiet, thoughtful boy with these same quality traits as a man. My children Kristoffer, Robin & Lindsay remember your childhood visits to Saskatoon & send their condolences with ours to your family.

Doug and I lost touch as adults but I remember him fondly from the many years we were very close friends. He was always there to put a smile on the face of a loved one and I have many special memories of Doug and his crazy antics! Just thinking of them now makes me smile.

I only met Douglas once, but he seemed to be a wonderful young man full of compassion for others. My condolences and prayers.

Although I haven't seen Doug or been in touch since high school, I was always happy to hear about him and his successes via Michelle and Natasha. Since hearing of Doug's illness earlier this year, he has been in my thoughts constantly. Doug is a happy memory from my school years and will always hold a special place in my heart. My sincerest condolences to Doug's family and Natasha. I am sorry I never got to say good-bye but I will never forget you.

My deepest sympathy to Douglas' family. I had the pleasure of getting to know Douglas at Mount Royal University over the past year. He was the source of many laughs during various debriefing sessions after class. The world has said good bye to a wonderful person who was caring, funny, and most of all genuine. I have learned many things from Douglas. I am inspired by his courage and strength. He will not be forgotten.

You could never find a more thoughtfull and loving friend. Wether it was being by my side at the hospital from when I opened my eye's untill I fell asleep every day. Helping me move to finding an article in the paper that I would be interested in and clipping it out.
Doug was always thinking about the ones he cared about and how he could show them just that.Thank you for being in my life. I love you Doug..xo
