I think of you often, Allen, as we worked to improve the quality of and access to affordable health care in N.H. It was a pleasure to be in your thoughtful and thought filled presence where I always learned something as we worked toward the common good.

I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of your beloved husband Allen. When I was a young medical student, his mentoring meant the world to me. His words gave me great comfort during my initial adjustment in Hanover. May he rest in peace.

Allen was tenacious in his efforts to affect change in our healthcare system. My time at Tufts Health Plan was made better by his presence there. He will be missed.

Neighbors on Dorset, we sadly only had one occasion to get to know Alan, at a block party hosted by the Hollerans. I was spellbound by Alan's tales of the medical profession, and had looked forward to other occasions to continue such discussions. Our condolences, Mary Lou, to you and all your family.
