Tony Morgan was one of the best professors I had in medical school over 25 years ago. I learned lessons from him I still think of and use to this very day. Notably, he achieved that rare feat among surgeons of simultaneous complete dedication to career and family.

I will always remember Dr. Anthony Morgan. He was not only my superior, but an amazing doctor and friend. Dr. Morgan always managed to put a smile on your face. He was fair to his employees and treated them as family. It hurts me deeply that he is no longer with us .RIP

I first met Tony in 1984 as i was referred to him as a new MD in town that could use some financial planning. We developed a long standing relationship and i watched him build the great trauma program at St. Francis. I can still vividly recall his office at St. Francis. He will be greatly missed.

I was a surgical tech and remember when Tony first arrived at SFH as a Trauma Surgeon. He had quite an impressive presence when he walked into the O.R. and after working with him on many late nights, I found that he was a very competent and talented surgeon. I remember him as a man with a great sense of humor and a knack for humorus banter with me and others on his surgical team. Not only was he a talented surgeon, but also a wonder man and father to his sons. I am honored to have called him my friend. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Linda and family on Tony's passing. As a fellow brain injury clinician, Tony always garnered everyone's respect as the consummate professional who not only was great at what he did but went the extra mile by a longshot to serve his community and improve brain injury care. His loss to this all to common neurodegenerative disease should encourage us all to support ongoing efforts to find a cure. Rest in peace Tony.

I met Tony Morgan when I was a fourth year medical student on my ICU rotation and he was the new traumatologist. He nicknamed me Mrs Clean or called me his daughter.
Altho I switched from surgery to a career in anesthesiology, I had the privilege of working with him on many cases in the OR. He was an excellent surgeon ,calm and caring... a true gentleman.
I remember that he was an avid runner and that he always wore a gold runner charm on a necklace. I remember his laugh and his insight when we talked about the workings in the hospital.
I will miss him.

I came to Hartford in 1993 as a surgical intern and met Dr. Morgan that year. His enthusiasm was palpable and i can remember it so clearly to this day. His passion, dedication and warm smile were inspiring to a young surgeon. He continued to be a source of inspiration during my residency at U. Conn and has remained one for many years. I was so sad to hear of his illness and passing. He was truly a great man. My sincerest condolences to his family and all those close to him.

My condolences and care to Linda and Tony´s sons. I arrived at Saint Francis as a fellow in genetics and child development in 1984. Tony was invariably kind and collegial, even though he was senior and I was amazingly junior. At the time, I also had responsibilities both in the nursery, and supervising on the pediatric unit as well as my other consultations, and Tony was invariably generous, both with his time and his intelligence. It is with sadness that I mourn in his passing and with great respect that I honor his remarkable legacy. May his memory be for a blessing.

I read this News with sadness and tears in my eyes. Tony hired me soon afteri finishing my fellowship in trauma and critical care. I worked with him since 1993. I learned so much about the management of the trauma and surgical patients but even more the things that I have to do in order to improve as a human being. Tony was always giving himself annd thinking hiew to help others. I left Connecticut 11 years ago, and I never stop thinking and being thankful about my mentor and friend and the struggles he fought the last few years of his life with his disease. He was a great husband and father and also a wonderful friend. I will always be grateful for everything he share with me and for all his support. My condolences to his wonderful children and his extraordinary wife Linda I know he is in a better place today and my wife Ruby will be praying for him

Tony called himself my second Dad. He treated me like a son and taught me more than you can imagine. Not only about patient care but about being a complete physician/surgeon. RIP my friend.
