Dr. Gregory Howard Tatum

Greg Tatum passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the age of 49 years old surrounded by his loving family following an 11-month battle against colon cancer. He was born on June 13, 1973, in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Paul Ellis Tatum, Jr. and Ella Lester Tatum.

Dr. Tatum graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1991 and graduated from Southwestern University in 1995. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1999 from Mayo Medical School, completed his residency at the University of North Carolina, and then completed his fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. At the time of his death, Greg was employed as a Pediatric Cardiologist for Duke University. He was compassionate in volunteering with many international medical missions especially with Gift of Life International.

Greg is predeceased by his father, Paul Ellis Tatum, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Boulware Tatum; sons, Jack Gregory and Sam Parker Tatum; mother, Ella Tatum; brothers, Dr. Paul Tatum III (Helene) and Richard "Eric" Tatum (Jackie); mother and father-in-law, Mack and Becky Boulware; sister-in-law, Ashley Poole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, in Greensboro, NC.
