Howie was a dear, dear friend and he continues to be deeply missed and loved. Howie's humor was infectious, his smile a lasting treasure, and his wisdom insightful and thoughtful. We were blessed to have precious time with Howie, Susan, and the girls. Those memories will last us a lifetime. I believe his legacy is passion and love- a passion to heal and help others, and a loyal and steadfast love for those close to him. I pray that those who miss Howie as we do will remember him in this way. He touched so many lives and made people richer by knowing him.
(I love you, Howie. Your memory is a blessing.)
My deepest sympathy to Howie's loved ones, Susan, Rebecca and Sarah.

Our sympathy and well wishes to Dr.Axelrod’s family. Our son was a patient of Dr.Axelrod. We will be forever grateful to Dr.Axelrod for helping our child. He was like a God send to us!!
His passing was very shocking to our son and us. We often find ourselves praying for his family and hope he is in a happy place.
May God give you courage, piece of mind and strength to bear this tremendous loss. Our heart goes out to his daughters. I am sure God will take care of his kids like he took care of ours.
Love and thanks from the bottom of our hearts.

My husband touched the lives of so many. Family, friends, colleagues, even some of his patients have contacted me with condolences and to share stories of their experiences with him. In my own way, I will be continuing his lifelong devotion to helping people with mental and emotional health. This is Dr. Howard M. Axelrod's legacy.
