Dr Horner brought me into this world and was my family doctor until he retired. He was always a nice man and was always willing to give a listening ear and a much needed hug at times when a hug was the best medicine. May the Lord give you the comfort you need as you adjust to life without this amazing man.

I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Horner's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. He will be greatly missed.
Dr. Horner was my doctor for many years until he retired. I admired and respected him and always trusted and valued him as a doctor. Not only was he a great doctor, but a caring friend to his many patients who loved him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time. God bless!

Helen and family, I loved my Doc like no other. He always gave me the best hugs and that's why I made sure to love on him everyday at the nursing home while my mama was in there. I meant to come back and see him Helen but, my daddy has been really sick and now mama's cancer is back and we've had to start chemo all over again....I will regret not seeing him one more time forever. My family has very many memories of our Dr. and he will never be forgotten. It lifted my spirits everyday to see you two holding hands...He always patting your hand. I just want you to know he was very loved by my family and I am so sorry for your families loss. Just know he did make a difference and will never be forgotten. Helen, thanks for sharing him with us. Love you, Peggy

I was the last baby Dr. Horner delivered. Somehow that made me feel a closeness to him and as a small child I would fake being sick just to go see him. He would always pull me up on his lap put his stethoscope on me and wrap those long arms around me. When my grandmother Harvey died Dr. and Mrs. Horner came to the funeral home and even then as an adult I felt safe, loved and comforted when he pulled me into his arms and hugged me! Dr. Horner I will always love and respect you for the amazing and humble man you were! Thank you for bringing me into the world. I hope at some point in my life I can make the world a better place just as you did with your entire life! I am sorry for the family and their loss of such a great man!

Dr. Horner was such a wonderful man. When my grandfather (Fitzhugh Feagins) who was dying with cancer, had to be taken to the ER 40 years ago at 3 a.m., Dr. Horner came on in and stayed with the family until he had to make rounds. Just a wonderful humble man that was a treasure for all of us to know. Thanks for everything Doc.Our prayers are with all of the family.
