Dr. Taryn Ann Rogalski-Salter

Hard to believe my former classmate, who sat right behind me so many years ago at Platt High School, is now gone. Never saw Taryn after graduation in 1974, but I am so pleased she had a successful career and vibrant life. Rest in peace.

Sending my deepest condolences during this difficult time to Taryn's family. May you soul rest in eternal peace dear Taryn as you will always be remembered by all those whose lives you touched.

To the guiding force of our department. Your hand will be missed Boss.

Taryn, you were so much more than my Fathers partner, you were an inspiration and my mentor. Your passion and enthusiasm helped me pave my path in science; you helped me forge confidence and professionalism in some tough work environments with skills I still use today. Thank you for being a partner to my Father, thank you for giving my Father an incredibly adventurous life and thank you for all the treasured memories.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with Taryn. She was so very capable and extremely dedicated to our mission to find new vaccines and treatments for TB.
She was always so thoughtful and generous with her time and her knowledge. She was an exceptional individual, and her contributions will live on.

From previous experiences, I have found Regulatory Affairs to be a tough function to partner with - there are regulatory requirements in place for a purpose, and that can sometime feel stifling for a project team. Working with Taryn reset my expectations and experience around the RA role. Taryn of course knew all of the rules and regulations, but she was so considerate, funny, and kind with how she conveyed those requirements that it never felt like a hinderance. She had a special way of inviting you into meaningful conversation that allowed you to be seen and heard, while gently guiding you to a positive resolution. I so appreciate the time I had to work with Taryn.

Taryn was a warm and welcoming colleague. She was also incredibly smart, kind and respectful. We will miss her dearly!

Taryn was a wonderful colleague, always professional, gracious and warm, and I counted on her sound regulatory advice in many settings. I will miss her and send heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.

In her work, Taryn was dedicated to improving the health of people worldwide by her involvement in the development of novel interventions to prevent infectious diseases. While her legacy will live on, she will be terribly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her. She will be remembered for her accomplishments and for her humanity.

Taryn and I were not blood related but we had the same relatives through her parents relationship with mine and we were "cousins". I was from Meriden but lived in California. When I would visit, my cousins and I played with Taryn so I have very fond memories of our childhood together. As adults we kept In touch through my cousin, her aunt, Cornelia. Taryn was always easy going, unpretentious and a great source of info and guidance for us during the pandemic. We will miss her but, as our faith tells us, we will meet again in Heaven.

My baby - I cannot express the grief and sorrow that I am experiencing with your leaving me. I see you everywhere and feel you are still with me. What a life we had and it is all because of your intense interest in absolutely everything !! I miss everything about you but that is number one - -never did you hesitate to experience a new culture, food or challenge. Thank you for what you have given me - you opened the world to me - literally .Together we have seen the Taj Mahal, rested on the beaches of the Seychelles and Bermuda, lived in Siena, ate soup dumplings in Singapore, been to the Great Wall in China. There are so many more places we have been that now it seems hard to believe that we managed it all.
Be at peace my love you have earned it.
