Dr. Timothy John Pietro

It feels like a lifetime ago, Tim-those days when Scott and I visited you at your parents´ home. I can still picture your sweet dog, full of warmth and loyalty. So much has changed since then, but the memories stay with me. I look forward to the day we´re reunited-when the Lord returns.

We were med school classmates. Tim was a great friend. I still can´t believe he´s moved on. I guess God has bigger plans for Tim now.

2025 and I'm still here! Thanks Dr. Pietro

You are gone but never forgotten. Thank you for saving my life, allowing my children to have a mother.

I still can't believe he's gone even after 5 years. It just doesn't seem possible and makes me feel so sad. I feel for Jenny and their girls, my heart and prayers go out to them.. I worked with Dr. Pietro in Riverside. I really liked him and Dr. Wilson. Dr. Pietro was a wonderful doctor and friend. I can still see him with his patients and his caring ways, and crooked smile. He had such a sweet and easy going man. God, got a really good guy. RIP

Tomorrow will be four years. You are still missed. I will NEVER forget that you saved my life. We named our son after you and told him why. I´m glad you are at peace.

My condolences to the Pietro family. I found Dr. Pietro's obituary by accident but I am deeply sadden by it. Dr. Pietro was my doctor, and my mothers doctor for years. When I first met him I told him I had a teacher in High School that had the same last name, and it turned out to be Mrs. Pietro (she was one of my favorite teachers, over 32 years ago.) He was an excellent doctor, and person. He will always be remembered for the great person he was. Again, my condolences to Mrs. Pietro and the entire Pietro family.

He made a huge difference in my life.

My wife and I were talking to our son and Tim’s name came up. We had been good friends in medical school and Tim had introduced me and my wife. We always wanted to find some time to get together, but Tim was too busy. I figured it would have to wait until he retired. And then my wife came across Tim’s obituary. We are heartbroken. I am so upset. I am so sorry I did not make it a priority to have a reunion with him. For my wife and I to fly down and meet him and his wife. I pray for his wife and daughters that they have peace now.

You are missed.

Well Tim, there not one day that pass’s that you are not though of or remembered in conversation by people in passing... you truly are remarkable.

I first met Dr. Pietro as a patient 10 years ago. I was so impressed by his candor, his professional manner, and his concern for his patients. I was contemplating a procedure and it was a difficult decision for me. In fact, it took me eight years and three visits to finally decide to do the procedure. I was so shocked and saddened by the loss of this gentle, no nonsense man. I will miss his presence.

Tim was a friend, a colleague, a mentor, and my physician. He was always just a phone call away. It's hard to believe he's not here. See you again one day.

I was saddened and heart broken to hear of the loss of Tim. He was a friend, a mentor and a colleague. Tim and I met during my training as a Urology Resident at Loma Linda University. He was working in Riverside along with Dick Wilson who became the first urologist I worked for after completing my training. I worked with Tim and Dick for two years and we had great fun together! He was a true mentor to me and forged my experience as a physician and surgeon. Tim was technical an outstanding surgeon with great insight and excellent judgement. He was a gentleman and scholar and the world has lost a great man, a great husband, a great father.

I often think of him when I am in the operating room. He always had great advice and I can remember my time with him like it was yesterday.

He became a loved member of his community and will be missed by all who knew him. My prayers go out to Tim and his lovely family. May the God Lord look at for him and his family.

Dr. Pietro was the most gracious, kind and caring doctor and man, whom I thankfully met twenty two years ago when he saved my life. My wife and I are eternally grateful to him. We are so sorry and saddened by his passing.

Tim's family and mine were close and we became close when both of us were going to UC Davis. He was like a brother to me including the bickering and complaining about each other.

I knew Dr. Pietro from the day he joined the staff at Riverside Community Hospital - my office credentialed him. He was one of the regulars who visited the Medical Staff Office. After 25 years at RCH, I retired 6 years ago, and only found out about his death today, and am deeply saddened that such a caring, wonderful person has left his family and friends. He was a blessing to all who knew him. My condolences to his family.

I still can't believe he left us...my next appointment is in June... great guy...I don't have words to describe his kindness and patience with me...I really going to miss him. God take away an angel from us ...I'm sad. God bless his family.

Sadness in the loss of an amazing man, a truly outstanding doctor is written here. Dr. Pietro gave everyone in the path of his life.. special time and part of himself...surely, he will never be forgotten. Our prayers to his family and his dear mother.

I went to elementary school and high school with Tim. He was the most kind, thoughtful, and intelligent person even as a child. I was so happy to see him and chat at our 40th HS reunion. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, daughters, mother, and family members. He was a truly a good man and a wonderful human being. My prayers are with each of you.

Reading through the condolences it's clear to see the kind-hearted boy I went to high school with grew to be a gentle, loving, and respected man who touched many lives. Tim always had a bright light and it will always shine through the lives he touched. It was an honor to know him if only for a moment.

Dr. Pietro saved my life and went out of his way to ensure that I was treated properly in the hospital. I am forever grateful. Few people have shown such skill, intelligence and compassion.

Im so sorry to have heard the news that Tim has left us. It was unexpected. I met with Tim several times over the past 15 years as a fellow physician as well as kept up to date on his activities. Tim was truly passionate about his knowledge and care for patients. Sometimes as a physician, the business makes us lose sight of what is important and the impact we have on others. I was in huge disbelief when I heard the news. I'm still in shock. I am honored to have worked for such a kind, gentle soul. I remember every single part of our conversation the day I walked into your office and told you I was leaving. Always so considerate and understanding. It was a sad day in the OR when we received news of Dr Pietros passing, another reminder how fragile life is. He was pleasant to work with and willing to teach us, respected and respectful. He is missed. My thoughts and prayers for his wife and daughters, extended family and friends and for those of us whove worked with him for years.

I was a patient of Dr. Pietro for the last couple of years. I felt very lucky to have him as my physician. He was very kind and really listened. Last September when I saw him, I mentioned that I was flying up to UC Davis to check my son into the dorms. Dr. Pietro really lit up with a huge smile and said " I'm an Aggie!". We spent the next 10 minutes talking about UC Davis. I felt fortunate to see this other side of him.

My husband and I were shocked to learn of Dr. Pietro's passing. We enjoyed knowing him and looked to him for sound medical care when my husband was diagnosed with kidney issues and then prostate cancer. Dr. Pietro was a great doctor, and he became a confidant and friend by taking the time to build rapport, a rarity in today's medical world. Each time we saw him, he greeted us with a warm and caring smile we will never forget. To Dr. Pietro's family, we're thinking of you and praying for your hurting hearts.

Although I did not know him personally, I would see him at professional meetings. Once sat at same table with his wife. Tim was highly respected. More importantly he was of high character. May his spirit comfort all of us, especially all those who loved him dearly - Family. Until we meet again.

Dr. Peitro was a very nice and gentle man and was my urologist for several years. He also performed surgery on me last year. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. I am praying for his family. May your memories give you comfort.

My family was very saddened to hear of Dr. Pietro's passing. He saved my Dad's life twice. Once in 1992 for Prostate Cancer and most recently for Bladder Cancer. I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Pietro several times during appointments and surgical procedures for my dad. This wonderful, kind man saved my life. I'll never forget the visit when he told me I had bladder cancer. He was as concerned and visibly up as I was. What a gift to his patients. I will never forget him.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Pietro. He was a caring physician and I held him in high regard as a patient of his. His sudden and shocking death is a confirmation of why we must live everyday to the fullest, and be more aware of those whom are inwardly struggling among us. May his family be comforted and given grace during a very sad time.

I have known and worked with Dr Pietro probably since the day he walked in as a young guy. I worked on the floor his patients came to. I was blessed to be one of his entrusted circle of nurses that he could call to take care of problems after hours. I think I still have my urology team coffee mug somewhere. He will be sorely missed by many. Heaven gained a good one. So sorry for the families loss.

Dr. Pietro started taking care of me shortly after I retired from the US Air Force. Compassion, kindness and friendship were his attributes that made me feel cared for. My family and I moved to North Carolina last year. I saw him just before we left. I will miss his smile and his professionalism. Most of all I'll miss his friendship. My heart goes out to his family. We often talked about his girls when I had an appointment. God is receiving another true Angel!!

My heart is heavy, so devastating to have heard he passed. Dr. Pietro came into my life in 1989 while in the hospital after having my first child, I was told my kidneys were failing and they gave me 3 days to live when this man walked in and literally saved my life and I have been forever grateful for the past 29 years under his care. Whenever he saw you he would greet you with a warm smile and iI will never forget his famous words to me well, here's a Blast from the Past. He was such a compassionate, warm hearted man that will forever be missed.
