Dr. Tommy Thompson Obituary
The late Dr. Thompson was the oldest child of the late C.S. (Doc) and Beth Thompson of Canyon, Texas.
Dr. Thompson received his undergraduate degree from West Texas State University and his medical degree from UTMB Galveston. He completed internship and residencies at the Naval Philadelphia Hospital and Balboa Naval Hospital.
He was in private practice as an urologist for almost 40 years in Memphis, Tennessee and Searcy, Arkansas. Dr. Thompson also retired from the Navy as Captain after serving with Fleet 15 Hospital during Operation Desert Storm.
Survived by his wife of 56 years Linda Prichard Thompson, 6 children (Tom, Scott (Shelton), Heather, Gretchen, Chase (Jody), Lily and 8 grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be announced for later in the fall of 2023. Please join us in celebrating
a life well lived and share our memories and your memories of Dr. T.
